There are two different systems that use resin to fix gravel aggregates. These are Resin Bound and Resin Bonded. Resin Bound aggregate is where the aggregate is mixed with a resin and then the material is troweled down to a smooth finish with no loose chippings.
Resin Bound aggregates is a layer of resin applied to a suitable surface and then covered with loose aggregate which sticks to the resin leaving you with a beautiful driveway.
The first step with ether of these two products is to make sure that the surface you are adhering to is very clean and free of dust and grease. You’ll need to mask around any edges.
When you are sure you are ready, mix your resin and activator together. These will be pre-measured. Using a squeegee or trowel, spread the resin out then start to cast on your chosen aggregate while the resin is still wet. This is repeated until your whole drive is covered. Then, remove the masking tape from the edges once the resin is set, then sweep off any loose gravel.

Then there’s a decisive primer applied to the surface to give an extra bond. The aggregate is then mixed with a resin, then it is leveled out and troweled tight. Within five hours the resin has set and the drive can be walked on.
