Printed concrete gives you the benefit of the strength and durability of concrete but printed with a pattern that replicates York stone, cobbles, slate, etc. Printed concrete comes in a range of colours. There are so many combinations of colour and patterns you can choose from that you can’t fail to find one to suit your property. From black cobble stone drives to York stone in buff with hints of tan to highlight each stone as if it were real. Even traditional red brick paths. There’s no limit to what you can create for your property.
Printed concrete should be laid at 100 mm thick. It should be laid on a sub-base of at least 100 mm depending on your ground type. The pattern is literately printed in to the surface of the coloured concrete with a rubber mould leaving the imprint of your chosen pattern into the surface of the concrete. The concrete is then washed and control joints are cut in to allow the concrete to move. Finally there’s a sealant applied to the surface to enhance the colour and to protect the surface from staining. This sealant can be reapplied in future years to keep the drive looking brand new if you require.
